MAILED COMMUNICATION to retirement plan participants

Starting the end of October, 2024, MSRS plan participants will pay lower fees on several investment options in their retirement plan accounts
This change affects participants in the following plans administered by Minnesota State Retirement System (MSRS):

  •     Minnesota Deferred Compensation Plan (MNDCP)
  •     Health Care Savings Plan (HCSP)
  •     Unclassified Employees Retirement Plan
  •     Hennepin County 1% Supplemental Retirement Plan

How does this change affect employers who use these MSRS Plans?

To accommodate the changes to lower cost investment options, a temporary blackout period is required. The temporary blackout period begins 3 p.m. Central time on October 25, 2024 thru October 30, 2024. During this time, plan participants will not be able to execute any transactions to or from the Dodge & Cox Income Fund.

The blackout period does not affect employers.

  • You will be still be able to remit MNDCP and/or HCSP contribution files during the blackout period.

  •  Any contribution files you remit during the blackout period will post to your participant's accounts as usual.
